Upper Dolpo trek and Dolpo trekking is the remote trek lies at the western region of remote area, while trekking in Nepal Dolpo trekking is known as the restricted area, so the special permit should be obtained before trekking. In the mountain region of the western Nepal, it covers the Dolpo and Mugu district. It was distanced in the year 1984 the largest national park in the country with an area of 35555sq.km. Trekking to Dolpo and in Nepal is the most unique Trans Himalayan ecosystem.
The flora and the fauna with the Tibetan style protects the snow leopard, the blue sheep, Goral, Himalayan That, wolf, Jackal, Himalayan black beer, Himalayan Weasel, Himalayan Mouse Hare, yellow throated marten, Languor, Musk Deer and the rhesus monkeys. So far the local communities are concerned in this park the population is approximately counted in the figure of 2000.
The lifestyle of this region is strongly influenced by the Tibetans. The local residents believe in the Buddhist religion but the whole community of Pokhsundo area believes in Bon which is a pre Buddhist. Ultimately most of the villages have their own communal Gompas.
