Nepal Jungle Safari

While the high Himalayas makes up Nepal's northern region, the southern flatland known as the Terai is covered with dense tropical jungle. The jungle safari here serves exciting opportunities to view wild animals and birds of unique exposure on elephant-back, by jeep, or on boot or foot. The best season to make our trip remarkable is October-March, since April- June is hot (above 30 degrees Celsius) and July- September is the rainy. The national park (Jungle Safari) listed below offers convenient package tours, which include transport, jungle activities, cultural show, comfortable accommodation and delicious meals.

 

Major jungle safari destinations in Nepal
Chitwan National Park: One of the richest wildlife reserves in Asia with an area of 932 sq. km. in Chitwan is to the South in the map of Nepal. Easy access with 4 to 5 hours driving or 35 minutes short flight from Kathmandu or Pokhara, it is a place of indigenous Tharu people. Big home of the unique one-horned rhino, majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, many species of deer, and the largest number of zoological species of local and migrated birds more than 450, crocodile family with the rare species of Marsh mugger "Gharial" and numerous flora and fauna can be discovered. ..........................
Bardia National Park: One of the largest and least explored by adventurous travelers is located in the remote Far West Terai in Nepal. The possible reaching there is by cruising on a bus 12-13 hours from Kathmandu or taking a 90 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and a few hours Van drive. This is the only national park with a large territory of Royal Bengal Tigers and a huge river - the home of the fresh water dolphin........................
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve:This reserve can claim its distinct identity for one good reason - the vast expanse of the Koshi River. Today, with the wild buffalo preserved, the reserve has also won its niche as birdwatcher's paradise in its true sense. The reserve to preserve the habitat of the remaining population of wild buffalo (locally known as Arna in Nepali). The reserve beckons all sorts of bird species. These birds fly all the way from Siberia to migrate during the winter season. The fact that many birds that arrive here are nowhere ............................
