| Jomsom and Muktinath Trekking |
An easy trek up the Kali Gandaki Valley to the holy site of Muktinath The trek from Pokhara to Jomsom up the Kali Gandaki valley is the most popular trek in Nepal. With relatively little uphill climbing and the most comfortable lodges, it is ideal for those people new to trekking. The trail up the valley passes beneath some of the highest mountains in the world. The final goal for this trek is Muktinath (3,800 metres). This settlement with its eternal flame is a pilgrimage for Hindu and Buddhists alike. The other highlights of this trek are the magnificent view from Poon Hill on the way up towards Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, and the village of Tatopani with its hot water spring..
