Three Kingdoms - West Bound

Sunday: Arrival at Paro by Druk Air from Bangkok . Representative from Lhomen Tours and trekking Co. will receive visitors at Paro airport, help them with visa and customs formalities, and transfer to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan overnight at hotel.

Monday: After breakfast full day excursion to Punakha the ancient capital of Bhutan and the Dzong is visit able if Je-khenpo the chief abbot and the central Monk body are in Thimphu in their summer residence. On the way pass through Dochula pass 3,200m from where one can view Bhutan mountain ranges including Mt. Gangkarpunsum 7,541m the highest mountain in Bhutan . After lunch served at Wangdi any hotel or guesthouse. After lunch, drive back to Thimphu overnight at hotel.

Tuesday: After breakfast witness the culture show for 1 hour by the royal dance Troup and visit Zelu-kha Nunary, national library, handicraft & Emporium and walk around Thimphu city. Take it break launch served at any hotel and after lunch drive to Paro enrooted visit memorial chorten of late King, Simtokha Dzong the first fort built by Shabdrung the unifier of the Kingdom in 1627-29, which now houses the school for study of Dzong-Kha the national language of Bhutan and continue the journey to Paro overnight at hotel.

Wednesday: After breakfast drive to Drugyel Dzong at present a ruin fortress once which withstood the Tibetan invaders in the 17 th century. From here the peak of Chomolhari 7,300m could be seen on the clear day and visit a Bhutanese typical farmhouse and return back to hotel for lunch. After lunch drive to Ta-Dzong former watch tower for Paro Dzong which now houses the national museum and drive to Paro town for a stroll and shopping overnight at hotel.

Thursday: Morning departure for Kathmandu on Druk air.

Tour Cost is as following:
1 pax - Euro 138 + Euro 31 + Euro 45 = Euro 214 per person
2 pax - Euro 138 + Euro 25 + Euro 45 = USD 200 per person
3 pax and above - Euro 138 per day per person.

Important

  • The royal government of Bhutan has a strict policy to preserve its cultural and traditional values, and antiques may not be taken out of the country.
  • They also request that visitors do not give sweets, pens etc. to children or in fact distribute medicine to villagers.
  • All foreigners are required to convert their money to local currency for their expenses in Bhutan money to authorized moneychangers. Recon version facility is provided at the airport on departure.
