Drukgyal Dzong is a fortress and Buddhist monastery was built in the 16th century to commemorate a victory over the invading Tibetan forces. Drukgyal Dzong monastery is situated at 15 kms far from the upper part of the Paro Valley.
National Museum of Bhutan is a cultural museum situated above the Rinpung Dzong of Paro in western Bhutan. Due to, its rich holdings of various creative traditions and disciplines, represent a remarkable blends of the past with the present and is a major attraction for local and foreign visitors.

After breakfast starts the sightseeing by coach with visit to Zelukha Nunary, national library, handicraft emporium and walk around Thimphu city and drive back to hotel for lunch. After lunch drive to visit Simtokha Dzong the first fort built by Shabdrung who unified the kingdom in 1,627-29, at present houses the school for the study of dzongkha the national language of Bhutan, memorial chorten of late king overnight at hotel |

Thimphu- Punakha |

Full day excursion to punakha the ancient capital of Bhutan which is still used as the winter residence for Je-Khenpo, the chief abbot and central monk body and district administration for Punakha. The journey is across the Dochula 3,200m from where one can view Bhutan mountain ranges including Mt. Gangkar Punsum 7,541m the highest mountain in the kingdom. Punakha Dzong can be visited if the monk body is in Thimphu in their summer residence. Lunch is served at wangdi guesthouse and after lunch drive back to Thimphu overnight at hotel. |

Punakha – Paro |

After breakfast, drive to Paro. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in the Kingdom, built in 1627 by the founding saint of Bhutan , Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. In the afternoon visit Paro Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom. Originally built as watch tower, the museum houses a fascinating collection of art, artifacts, thangkha paintings and Bhutan 's exquisite postage stamps. Then walk down the trail to Rinpung Dzong, the seat of administration and the monk body.

Rest day at sightseeing: after breakfast drives to Drugyal Dzong now a ruin fortress once, which repelled the Tibetan invader in 17 th century, from here one can see the peak of Mt. Chomolhari 7,300m on the clear day, and visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse and drive back to hotel for a lunch and after lunch drive Ta-dzong (watch tower for Paro Dzong) now house the national museum and drive to Paro town for stroll around overnight at hotel. |
